Sandra L. Richards joined Morgan Stanley 16 years ago from the Jackie Robinson Foundation, where she was director of corporate and foundation relations. She initially served in a diversity and inclusion role before shifting into a business development position focused on multicultural markets. In 2018, she took over as head of Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment, a division of the firm’s wealth management practice.

Despite the increasing demands of that position, she found time for another passion: writing a children’s book. “Rice & Rocks,” which came out in 2016, draws on her backstory as the daughter of Jamaican immigrants. That world intersects with her day job too; for more than a decade, Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment Division and Segment Sales & Engagement has done a literary brunch.
