Learn-and-Earn: Securing a Future in Web3 for All
With the rise of the Web3 ecosystem, internet users have a new opportunity to gain employable skills as well as the transformative potential to enhance economic mobility. Rakia Reynolds, founder of Skai Blue Media, joined Adweek’s Women Trailblazers Summit to share the importance of high-quality education around crypto and how she continues to break barriers by innovating Web3 accessibility for the underserved.
According to Reynolds, only 10% of web developers are women, and only 1% of web developers know how to build and code on the blockchain; two statistics she and her team are on a mission to change.
“So there’s an enormous opportunity — so much so that research has shown if you are a Web2 developer who gets the education of the world of Web3, you can guarantee about $112 billion in revenue,” she said. “There’s a huge potential for people in Web2 to get to Web3 and get these jobs.”
