Job Summary
The Social Media Manager will design, execute and publish social content for multiple platforms, and manage Skai Blue Media’s social platforms, as well as those of our partners and clients. This role is an individual contributor and a team player who understands the importance of communication and adhering to deadlines. Creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, develop and execute relevant, original, high-quality content for clients across social platforms
- Create, edit and implement content with ease for social media platforms including but not limited to designing, creating and working in multiple third-party platforms like Canva, Premiere, Adobe etc.
- Define and implement strategies to grow both client and agency brand presence in existing and new social channels, to increase followers and engagement on existing and new and emerging platforms
- Leverage analytic tools to provide reporting and insights, track and improve metrics, and influence testing and strategy
- Maintain daily content and engage audiences
- Develop an editorial calendar for Skai Blue Media and clients on all social media channels
- Execute social media audits for Skai Blue Media clients and provide recommendations based on results
- Develop and expand social and digital reach
- Study our social and site analytics and leverage learnings to enhance our social and content strategy.
- Develop digital and social strategies for clients and have the opportunity to take part in projects related to lifestyle, social impact & social justice, technology, and nonprofit clients
- Directly manage flawless execution of digital and social strategies, including content ideation and production, community management oversight, paid media optimizations, social media analytics, influencer activations, and more
- Analyze existing and potential clients’ social media and digital landscape, and make strategic recommendations to achieve client goals
- Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content for clients across social platforms
- Partner with Public Relations, creative & content teams to achieve client communications goals
- Conduct research, assemble presentations, and present on client pitches
- Develop copy for captions and proofread and edit digital social media content as needed
- Oversee and contribute to reporting on your digital activations
- Work directly under the VP/Director, helping to define the group’s focus and growth strategy
- Be a cross-functional teammate who engages, listens, and collaborates with internal teams
- Be an inspiring peer and help develop out-of-the-box and first-to-market experiences, activations, and content that will drive social conversations
- Team Management
- Oversee a team (design and content) – providing mentorship, direction and the development of clear CTA’s
- Work with the team to develop measurement proposals, present opportunities to clients (existing and potential), and present regular reports to clients and the internal team
- Evaluate success of each press project/campaign and reports results and learnings
- Attend events on behalf of Skai Blue Media
Qualifications
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multitask, learn and adapt to new situations, work under tight timelines to meet client deliverables and other assignments

- Proven experience in working with diverse audiences
- Must be on time and prompt on all occasions
- Must be able to handle all situations with tact, professionalism, persuasiveness, and diplomacy
- On occasion, work beyond normal business hours, including some weekdays, weekends and holidays to staff client events and to ensure deliverables are met

- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, Google Cloud, and Google Analytics
Education and Experience
- 5 years of experience in (the most current and commonly used) digital and social media engagement and analytics in a professional business environment
- BA/BS from an accredited four-year college or university
- Strong agency experience in social media
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms and their native analytics capabilities (e.g. Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, etc.)

- Ability to travel for business-related situations, including using all means of transportation e.g. ground, rail and air.
